Hi, has anyone tried pinterest affiliate with amazon?

Hey blackhatninja_, Pinterest with Amazon Associates can work, but tread carefully! Create pins linking to blog posts with affiliate links, not direct Amazon links, to avoid bans. Got a niche in mind?

How long it took for you to start getting traction?

I started Pinterest marketing for my Amazon affiliate last month. I share my blog post links in the pins. I don't share affiliate links directly on Pinterest. You can read Pinterest's terms and conditions carefully.

@blackhatninja_ As far as I know Pinterest isn't the problem with direct links to Amazon, but Amazon's TOS are an issue. Amazon cares about the traffic source, Pinterest doesn't mind if you place their links. But I'm not sure about that.

@richmasud I used my own Amazon product as a link in the Pinterest bio and the Click Through on Pinterest was absolute abysmal.
Does it work for you, what is your CTR?
I found a honest calculation on Quora which basically confirmed my suspicion, a link to the blog is some sort of triple wall: Pinterest --> blog --> product. You lose interested on every step, which imo is one wall too much. The CTR can be as low as 1% * 5% * 10% = 0.005%. That is one sale every 20k views on pinterest, if you even get 1% clicks on Pinterest...

I have sen few people doing that, but I dont think mazon is great for pinterest. anyways did you get any results?
