I'm confused

when it comes to Pinning other peoples content/repinning pins, doesn't these pins just take them to the other owners website?

How does this help me?

They say that it is important to pin content for 20 minutes a day, but I don't have enough content to do that.

Cred. You want to blend in so that you'll gain followers and get accepted to groupboards. A typical advice for pinning is along the lines of 1 (yours)/5+(others) ratio.

How often is it ok for me to post the same blog post in a week? ( not on the same board)

If you have multiple accounts, then multiple times. If only 1 account, I'm not sure. Gone are the days of spamming for traffic.

Honestly, I've repinned the same pin to 4-5 different group boards from 1 account all at once pretty regularly. I was adding 2-3 posts to my site a and pinning them to several relevant group boards immediately without trouble. I believe problems will be encoutered if you're using:

1. Throw-away emails - I purchased pinterest accounts recently in hopes of expanding my numbers a bit and all purchased accounts were created on yopmail.com. I tested the waters with 2 of these accounts and both were suspended within 24 hours of starting to flush them out with pins, nothing from my own site at all. Just take the time to make them yourself, use gmail or hotmail or something

2. starting too quickly - don't follow anyone your first few days, don't repin 1000 pins your first day, don't post anything from your site.

Pinterest traffic really builds over time, because people pin things in specific group boards they're doing the niche targeting for you, then anyone that goes in and views their niche boards will be exposed to your pin and repin it and the cycle starts all over again. Over time the more people that repin your pin, either directly from you or from others who have repinned your pins the more exposure and traffic you will get.

if you want to play like the "real user", then you definitely have to pin from your websites and reppin the images of other users, you have to mix the pinning and repinning.

that's all

So that you randomize your pins (not all from your website). Otherwise, pinterest will see that you are reapeating the source of pins over and over and obviously ban your ass, the website's ass and even the utility guy's ass; that poor ass ... :(

How long does it take to get traffic from pinterest?
