    hey friends.
yesterday i launched a new site but it's not getting traffic like it should.
and my pins are not getting re-pins.
i have 28k followers and i usually get traffic from all my pins, so why is my new site not getting traffic?
is it because pinterest doesn't show new sites on followers home feeds?
maybe it takes some time for pinterest to trust a new site, and then they start to give me more visibility on followers home feeds later on?
    i appreciate any help. thanks

Is there a business account tied to this new site? If so, look in the analytics. It'll tell you how much impressions you're getting.

I, too, just launched a new site a month or so ago. I'm getting impressions, but click thru is dismal. This new site is only receiving 60-70 traffic from Pinterest/day. The trend is up, but it's not as fast as my other sites when I launched them.

nope, this is not for a business account.
i think pinterest is taking visibility away from new sites, or from sites that aren't "authorities"
you said you launched a new site a month ago, so how long ago was it when you launched your other sites?

I agree with you. Domains are internally rated as part of their smart feed algo. Naturally, newer ones are not as powerful as older ones.

At least 2 years. But they've been blocked. So I got new domain names for them now. Easy to do if hosted by Google. Technically, all my domains are only a couple of months old. And only one of them contains new contents never been pinned onto Pinterest before.

Btw, are you scraping? If not, then take a handful of popular pins from your niche. Upload them to your site with original text, alt description, etc. Repin and see if you get any traction. I find that my orig pics tied to my blocked sites still have juice. So when pinned with my new domain, traffic easily recovering. Still not up to par of what is used to be, but getting there. It's the new site I'm having problems with.

My suspicion is that popular images weigh so much in the rating that it eclipses a lot of newer images, making it harder for post-smart-feed upstarts to compete since they have newer domains and unrated (never-before-pinned) images. As a result, it's favoring the scrape/upload method for immediate visibility and traffic.

The other thing to test is if you still have a pre-smart feed domain that's still active (not blocked). Pin new content from it, preferably something never before pinned. See if that gets activities.

Let us know what you find out.

I only launched a website this friday and im getting low traffic aswell , but im getting alot of repins and likes,
It just depends what niche you chose and would people have a reason to go onto your site, but another thing is there will be big authority sites just dominating the niche and always come up first through the search engines so the best way would be just to keep constantly getting new followers that visit your page, its what works best for me with likes and repins. :)
i will post back here if there is better luck with traffic but so far not good

yea, i was just doing some reading up about this, and the new algo definitely favors older websites.

that's strange, it sounds like your new site is getting into the home feeds. do you know how?
also, is it a brand new domain? and are you pinning brand new content?

The domain is about a week old to be exact, its definitely getting onto some peoples home feeds because i get likes and repins sometimes instantly after pinning.
For example this pin would be a few days old and it has 13 repins and 21 likes, now my account is just under 5k followers aswell,
the content is just what i find on google images saved and then posted up on my blog. So to me it doesn't seem like anything because it doesn't bring in much traffic yet but i don't know how other pinterest accounts are doing ? what is it like in comparison to yours? :)

I'm getting 400 visits a day on my 1 month old site, I used two accounts that focus on sub niche.
I'm getting 100+ repins a day total of 1,400 pins from my site, so far adsense earning around 3$ to 4$
which WP theme you used for better CTR?
