yea it is, because a lot of links google may just never find or take months. Use linklicious.me , its the best automated pinging service that breaks up ur links into rss feeds and then pings those, and also pings each link individually until all are fully crawled.

yes. pinging will get the link indexed faster. try a mass pinger

You dont want to many backlinks indexed at once, it can do more harm than good
