Ping.fm not working with rss

On the ping site:
"Hey Folks! We're temporarily disabling the RSS feeds service to make some system updates for ping.fm and coming back with improvements. Check out our help site for details"

I guess the alternative to feed into ping from non-wordpress sites is via email. Unfortunately, I am unable to get this working either. Has anyone got any other ideas?

Interesting... This probably won't really help you, but you may find it funny. I don't know if it has anything to do with this, but several days ago a friend of mine had texted me.

I have bots on twitter, and he asked me had my bots found Jesus. I knew something must be funny for him to say that so I login to twitter and my health related bots were tweeting all this stuff about God and Jesus.

First thing I'm thinking oh no has my ping.fm been compromised? I login everything looks good. Feed is setup correctly so I'm like ok did someone get into my blog? Nope... So I just turned it off and deleted all the bad tweets. Somehow my feed was crossed with some religious site?

Pretty hilarious... Something must have been wrong with their system for that to happen.

Anyway where are you trying to send your RSS feed to?

I'm taking feeds from autoblogs to ping new posts. I was doing this via rss, but in setting a new account up today I discovered that I can't feed into ping.

Yeah, all the wp-plugins that use ping fm have also quit working, Seesmic bought them out and is re vamping or integrating the service with its own platform.

is google reader still working?

you can use google reader instead of rss i guess?

I'm seeing a feed from one of my sites hitting facebook from hellotxt.com so it must still be working.
