I have this blog where it's full of funny pictures and videos (gets updated daily). It just started getting a consistent number of visitors daily. I am aware these types of website aren't really accepted by adsense or adbrite much.

I was wondering how can I monetise the website? I have seen similar websites use banners and stuff but don't really know where they get it.

    Thanks!

There are a few methods that I've used for sites like this

    I use:

Dynamic Oxygen - To profit from users who come from search
Mediashakers - Banners on the site
Infolinks - If you have text, info links is good. If you don't have much text and your blog is just pictures, skip this one

You can also find some CPA offers or affiliate programs if your site revolves around a particular niche.

I would suggest CPA, but i dont expect it to give much so it could be a deadend, how long does the visitors stay, do they browse the sight or just look at one pic/video?

Did those methods make enough money for a profit or enough to just run the site?

According to analytics they stay and browse through more pictures, probably because its humour.
Just want to know if I should focus on this website, because if there isn't much of a profit that can be made, I see no point.
    Any ideas?

My idea was to use CPA, and lock the site after a short time or a number of views from the same ip, after they have seen 5 pictures/videos they need to do a survey or something that unlocks the rest of the site

I'm also interested in how profitable picture blogs can be.

If the site doesn't look like rubbish, and you only place up to three nice blended adsense ads, then you can try adsense.
I actually have a site full of pictures with adsense on it, though you need lots of traffic to get some bucks.

I tried various cpa offers but in vain. Don't know about how content locking will convert, must be tried.

You cannot earn too much with a picture blog... you write articles there.

I think unique images are accepted by Google Ad sense and also you need to have some contents on your website
