I'm on the same schedule - basically once a month I clean up. I should probably tidy up more often, but most of the monitors are full of windows so I never notice how messy it gets.

Just as long as the mouse can run faster than the cat, the mouse will be alright.

As far as vaping. I started to vape after the second heart attack. Since vaping is part of my smoking cessation program, I chose the flavor closest to what I smoked - menthol tobacco. The candy flavors are high in Diacetyl. Diacetyl is implicated in heart attacks, even from eating flavored microwave popcorn, and is a primary cause of popcorn lung from vaping. The tobacco flavors do not have Diacetyl in them.

I have not smoked a cigarette since January and am about to put the vaper down.

Did you honestly expect anything else? Every time I try to rationalize getting an iMac, my need to minimize clutter brings me back to earth. I've got seven desktops running on that thing anyway.

This is why we can't have nice things people.

If I can be bothered to get out of bed, I'll run downstairs and take a picture of my official workstation. But I usually do most of my work from my laptop. It's a POS (the laptop) but it gets the job done.

No it's an old Acer I paid $100 for. It does what I need it to do. That's all I care about.

The comp I have downstairs though...It's a beast. Set it up for gaming. Dual OS, gaming mouse and keyboard. The specs are great. I just overclocked it on Skyrim last night. Love. It.

Which is why I hardly use it for work, even though that was my excuse for buying it.

1) Toss out most of your non-essential shit.
2) Have a room for keepsakes and all that crap, and keep those things in there.
3) Obtain OCPD (not OCD, dammit, OCPD).

The reason I have my current position in my day job (my workstation in the office looks very similar, but with three desktop monitors and that same laptop) is because the department VP was stopped by the company CFO one day two years ago and told him that my area is spotless and organized, and that he should bring me on to organize his department.
