Hi folks.

Never been into crypto except getting it free and ordering pizzas years ago. Damn expensive pizzas nowadays.
However, my sisters husband is into Crypto for years and he told me about this Pi network. Hes really sceptical about everything that involves crypto, had bad experiences with several projects and ICOs.
But well here you don't have to invest anything for now. Atm It's mined via your phone, not using much resources, this seems sketchy. Currently max miners/users are set to 10M and the milestone is getting close.
Doing my further research and waiting to see how this goes. Being sceptical, but hey - I was same as with BTC in 2010, forgot about it, and now I'm full with regrets.
Anyone already into this, what are your thoughts?

forgot to mention, if you want to step in this, you need an invite. could give it to you, but not shure if I'ts allowed here as it kinda works as affiliate.

It's kinda bulls**t in my opinion, because they ask for KYC from everyone (they don't even take local ID, they want passport). I don't like it at all. And it's taking too long to launch. Sounds more like a new Facebook for them, making them money because of all the personal information they have gathered.

If you don't provide ID they will remove all of the accumulated Pi, so that's not good. I like Monero more, it's anonmyous by default and it's limited like Bitcoin, it's pretty low now because they don't allow it on most top exchanges because of the anonymity.

Because of its nature as a privacy coin, XMR isn’t listed on some major exchanges. For example, although you can buy XMR on Binance, it isn’t supported by Coinbase. As a result, you may need to convert your fiat into Bitcoin and go through a smaller trading platform.

All of these distinctive features have led to XMR being increasingly used for illicit transactions instead of Bitcoin — especially on darknet markets. Governments around the world, especially the U.S., have also offered hundreds of thousands of dollars to anyone who can crack Monero’s code.

So yeah, I like Monero more than Pi.

doesn't worth it.
the dev have to many control on the coin, they even delete the coin for non confirmed id.
except dev cooperate with goverment than it will never work.
currently people just looking for easy way to earn crypto. and pi is one of the choice.
