a few months ago i setup a phpbb forum and forgot all about it. well to my surprise, these are the current stats Total posts 72442 | Total topics 65620 | Total members 8511

all are junk posts from bots, but my question is, is there anything interesting/useful I can do with all this data?

You really need to promote that forum! I would love some more pr juice for my backlinks. :hijacked:

Seriously, that data is useful for some folks

If you manage things right, you can even make some cash from it.

I'd love to have access to that forum. Its a gold mine for finding parasite hosts.

so what info would be good to extract? im very good with sql and databases i could probably pull all the url's from all posts or something like that

Pull out all the URLs they post and the anchor text. This will build a nice DB that will tell you for each URL what they're trying to rank for.

I too would be interested in learning what can be done with this kind of data.
