I have started stuffing cookies on e*bay auctions and I am looking to get a phpbay pro store or two up and running. I have a few questions and hope someone can help me out...

1) When I purchase the phpbay pro software it looks like it runs on top of wordpress. I have never used wordpress before. I am assuming most of you are going with some type of virtual hosting such as freehostia or similar... Is there any specific host in general that is better to host phpbay pro on?

2) Is it pretty easy and intuitive to setup a store using phpbay pro?

Any help is appreciated... I am fairly good with setting things up. Just a general direction as to where I need to start would be good.

any host will work fine. it's just a standard plugin for wordpress. follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

Ok thanks... Hostgator looks decent. They have cpanel which is good and their bandwidth should def be enough to host a couple e*bay niche sites.

I run my PhpBay Pro at Hostgator for 2 months, without any problem.

The installation document provided in PhpBay Pro package is very details for easy follow-up.

There are so many horror stories about Hostgator it's ridiculous, that's why. Sure a few people have great experiences, but overall the bad outweigh the good.

cheapest, u get space and bandwidth you probably will never use up until u create FACEBOOK 2!!

Honestly I've used cyberwurx.com for adult and mainstream hosting for what seems like 8 years now, and use resellerzoom.com for some other projects (rssgm, blog farms, etc).

With cyberwurx.com I've had virtually zero downtime, phenominal support, and great customer service. I can't say enough good things about them. Sure there may be cheaper hosts out there, but the old saying "you get what you pay for" holds true here.

Is there any reason why all the threads on here either have links to phpbay pro that dont work, or the threads are deleted/removed?

Does anyone actually have the latest pro version?

I've been using phpbay pro for a while now, and it's been working good. Version 3.0 is pretty nice, way better than BANS anyday.

I just purchased both new versions of the WP plugin and the API. For $50 you can get the WP plugin if that's all you're looking for.

Really, it's only $50, plus you get access to the support forum if you need it!

phpbay lately released new auction.php to deal with EPN TOS about 302 reference issue. If someone can share this file, it would be greatly appreciated.
