I have read through the threads here and from what I gather users are saying phpbay pro is better than bans.

The thing I can't quite understand is this... The BANS Customer Sites I see as examples look WAY better than the phpBay Pro sites. BANS uses a much nicer looking layout and is visually appealing.

Does anyone here prefer BANS over phpBay Pro?

A lot of people have jumped on the BANS bandwagon and creating sites with similar footprints. Although they look better, they have a better chance of getting de-indexed/slapped by Big G. I read on somewhere that people have already experience a google slap on their BANS site.. not sure how true it is.

I have personally abandoned BANS because if you sell your site, the buyer needs to buy a $49 BANS license.. it's not transferable.

So, 2 kick-ass reasons to get off the BANS bandwagon, especially if you're building sites that you might want to sell in the near future.

p.s. you are correct that BANS sites look great but you can make your wordpress php pro ebay site as kick-ass as you want as long as you choose the right theme and plug-ins.

Use BANS if you need to setup it quickly. But if you need more controls, you need PHPBay Pro.

a couple weeks ago i did a search for 'powered by bans' and got half million results. today it's 155 results...

At the moment I just need a front for cookie stuffing so I might go with a BANS site. Once that has been built I might work on phpbay pro sites.

Weird G**gle doesn't like the BANS sites... That's just dumb.

If half a million sites were all automated with no unique content I'm sure anyone else would ban them too.
Just gotta make sure to change the template and footprints as much as you can.

Just an FYI. I am purchasing phpBay Pro and from the License Agreement page, here's paragraph 9:

"9. You agree that your license, as covered by this agreement, is non-transferable to a third party. If you create a website for sale to a third party, you may not transfer or offer the software to the third party with the sale of the site. You may use phpBay Lite (our free software) as a substitute. Third party buyers must be referred to our site
Code:
([url]www.phpbay.com[/url])
in order to purchase their own software license."

Hi S&W40MPc,

Thanks for pointing that out that both php pro and Bans licenses are not transferable.

:D
