PHP vs Perl: Which Do You Prefer for Web Projects?

I’m exploring PHP and Perl and curious which language developers prefer today for web projects.

When do you choose PHP over Perl, or vice versa?

Any strengths or challenges worth noting for each?

Just looking for general discussion and experience no promotions or services.

I think Perl has seen better days. PHP if you need to do anything on the web though it does have a good cli now. But might also wanna check GoLNg aka Go. So much faster
