I was just wondering are there any php script out there that can auto login into different websites.

    example.

In my hosting account I am placing a php script that can can be started by sending command through http to webhost. And what this script does it goes to youtube and logs in and starts viewing other videos and commenting.

In that way I can save energy on my computer and my bandwidth. And use webhost bandwidth.

    Thats just an idea.

another example, use enhanceviews to get credits and If u don't wanna auto watch those videos on your computer just launch that script that is in your webhost with unlimited bandwidth and earn your credits.

Is this Idea crazy or it's possible?

    Thanks

It's possible and relatively simple. I use PHP exclusively to write my bots (because it's what I know best and I have a large framework already written) and the excellent cURL library of functions in PHP make writing bots very easy.

I have bots that do all kinds of Youtube and Twitter stuff, sign up for free hosting accounts and create web sites, post links to social bookmarking sites, make forum profiles etc etc... You could automate pretty much anything you want.

Generally if you want to write bots, you're better off making them run from the command line rather than through the apache webserver.

Stuff like Youtube that uses a lot of javascript can be difficult to automate because you have to reverse engineer the javascript in order to get some functions to work.

No, I'm not for hire. :D

I have a question, if you would oblige. I have made several perl/cUrl/wGet bots myself that run from my own pc. I don't quite understand how to run them from my web server. If I understand correctly, the same code would be running, just from my server over at Lunarpages? And I can set this up on their box with little effort? Is that the right direction? Thanks

If they're running on apache on your local pc then you could probably just upload them to one of your domains and they'll work, although you might have to play with paths and permissions depending on how you wrote the scripts. Also any PHP extensions or other programs you require will need to be installed on your hosting server eg. wget isn't installed by default on all Linux distros, although it is very common.

If they're CLI scripts then you will need shell access at your host to be able to run them. You would log in to your server via ssh and run them that way.
