php.ini

I have a 140 MB file that is not downloading correctly with my php script. It downloads 1.1 MB. But the file downloads fine when I point my browser to it (i.e. http://myd0ma1ncom/filename.zip). I contacted the script writer and he said it's probably the php.ini limit on my host. I'm on shared hosting I don't have access to the php.ini. How can I solve this problem?

Contact the support of your webhosting company and ask if they can increase the limits. What is your hosting Company?

there are tons of services you can actually use even for paid products no real marketer is using a hosting acct for hosting sensitive files.

Is it timing out or is there a file size limit? If its a file size limit you will need to contact your admin / web host to ask if they can upgrade your account.

If the script is simply timing out you could be able to remove the time limit by inserting a line of code such as below just after your first <?php tag:
