Hi - I would like to understand if it is possible to use proxies to accomplish the following.

I have a php script that pulls the top 10 results (from a keyword entered by the user) from google. I want to use it as part of a service that I am offering my clients. This script is on my shared server at Hostgator where I have a reseller account. In order to prevent the script from hammering google and getting my IP banned, I would like to create an account (via the Web host manager in cpanel) each time I gain a new customer, and establish a dedicated ip for each. I would then like to use the accounts I create as a group of proxies that would be used on rotation whenever a customer access the the php script (located on my server/ip) that pulls the google top 10 results.

Customers would have a password to access the page with the script so access would be limited.

Is there some code that I could add to the script that would access the list of "proxies" and rotate them each time my google script was accessed by a client?

Or is there a better way to do this?

FYI. I plan to use Amember membership script to manage my accounts (not sure if that affects anything...

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for the responses guys. I will give the curl option a go. Otherwise I will be trying to find someone to help me with the script.
