Photoshop slice tool

Hi !
I Have have an image of a landing page 1200 pixels on width and 3000 pixels on height, I sliced it to make an html file for my new landing page (Based on the previous one).
I have 2 problems :
1)- I sliced the text to make it editable, but the background of the sliced text is white in the html file.
2)- I want to slice an image in order to be able to post a video instead, how can I do this ??
