Trying to optimise a Places listing for a client by uploading geo tagged optimised photo's from Panoramio but Google seems to have a problem with this.
It keeps coming up with "We are unable to store your image at this time".
This seems to have been going on for months, anyone else had this problem and is there a way around it?

I have that problem when I use the add URL option. I do not have the problem when I upload the image directly

When you have the link from the photo site instead of uploading it from the computer the pictures are better optimised, they can be geo targeted, have citations on them and get backlinks to the website which by just uploading from the computer you cannot do.
This is an important part of the SEO on Google places.

ugh... man. Direct uploading defeats the purpose of adding images. I have been all over today and there is NO solution to this problem. Google is "working on it" which means it will never be fixed.
