Phone verification for ebay?

So long time ago (around 4+ years) my ebay account got suspended. Anyways, I believe my phone number is blocked because when I tried to verify my NEW ebay account that I just made a few days ago, it gives me an error "enter a valid phone number". My number is 100% correct and is my personal mobile number. Anyways, how do I do phone verification for ebay without any issues in the long run because I will be selling legitimately on ebay. Could I use my sibling's phone number to verify MY ebay account with MY personal info? Will I have any problems if the number does not match the number that will be attached to my paypal account? Thank you!

also, will i run into any problems in the future if i verify with these number services? for example if the number doesn't work anymore, but i verified my ebay account with that number, will my ebay account be limited/suspended?

If this is your legit account why don't you just call eBay and have the rep add your phone number?

Very sorry I misread your original post, and that you are creating a stealth account. I don't like to involve anyone that I know personally, there are just too many scenarios I which things could go bad. I would recommend you get a tracfone, register it with the appropriate info, and use that to confirm your eBay and even paypal account. Tracfones work really well and are a pretty low cost solution. Also FYI don't use Google voice numbers, unless you want to get 0/0 limits in your eBay account.

If you remember your old login, try going back onto your old ebay account. My account had gotten suspened years ago also and i decided randomly one day to hop on there, since it was still a "buyer account". I then attempted to list an item, and turn it back into a seller account, and it worked! Its still open almost a year later. Be advised, do not log into your old one on the same IP address, or same computer as your new one. If it is still suspended, then it will link it with your new one and get that one suspended. If you are going to use the same computer, create a different user, and clean the flash cookies on your computer, as well as change your ip.

Just make sure if you use a new phone number, that it hasn't been used on an account before. Always make sure no information is shared with existing accounts that have been banned.
