But google voice asks you to put in a already existing phone number (must be US) so that they call you on it. How can you emulate that?

Well but that's only usable to get ONE google voice number right?
Or can you get an unlimited number from one real US phone number?

I believe you can buy as much numbers as you want, or maybe you can buy numbers at twilio.com for $1- a month
