Pfizer twice-a-day COVID pill

Did you guys read through the Pfizer contract leaks they made with the governments of Brazil, Albania, etc. ?

They basically have no responsibility at all, they can decide whatever price, they can decide how many vaccines they deliver, they are not to blame for anything, etc. its absolutely crazy

Why should there be only one medicine against the virus?

I'm pretty sure we'll see pills, vaccines, ointments, soft drinks, spray paint and whatever new solutions against the virus.

Also sure some company will deservedly make billions of $ from it.

You're trying to make something perfectly normal seem like it's some conspiracy.

Have you ever read the fine print on your Windows license? What about Aspirin or any other common medication?

Have you read the fine print for every single fertilizer you eat in your tomatoes? What about the fine print on the shit they inject into cattle?

If you did then you'd know that tech and biotech offer no guarantees anywhere. There's no guarantees for anything related to health. When you go into any surgery there is zero guarantees. You actually sign that stuff.

No, absolutely not. I have no serious intentions to even get in such conversations. I honestly couldn't care less, just wanted to spice things up a bit.

This is amazing news. It's so good to see these wonderful multi-nationals help us through these awful times and helping us to stay safe.

It's not enough though. We must do more.

We must take our double, triple, quadruple vaxx. We must think of the children.. And let's not forget the older generation..

We must take our daily double dose pills.

We must sacrifice our sheep at the altar.. Will you people PLEASE think of others instead of being so selfish. Take your pills and pay your bills.

I get you, but I can decide whether I take aspirin, use Windows or what tomatoes I eat. Its my decision. Nobody is forcing me to eat or consume this stuff, but with the vaccine its different. I am living in a country, where they gradually take away your rights if you don't take the vaccine, so there is not much of a choice. I can't just say: "oh no, I don't accept the terms" and by the way: These contracts are secrets. Normal people like you and me can't read them. Someone leaked them.

I am not afraid of this vaccine and already took 2 shots, but I am afraid this is a never-ending cycle. Take this vaccine, take that pill, etc. for a never-ending story. We both know they are generating a fucking mega shit ton money out of this.

Good news is: The next few months will be very interesting. More and more people are getting the vaccine. They can't keep up with all the restrictions anymore, they can't justify them anymore. So its rather exciting

Reminds me a bit of 'A Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley.

The world is beginning to look a bit philosophically dystopian.

It's almost like a veil has been removed and people are starting to see the world for what it really is, and it scares them into such ridiculous complicity.

ok let me avoid being on the side of vax and antivax.
and focus on something much simpler:
Making money is it evil?
the answer: No and Yes.

1. if your goal is to find what the people need and create a service that will solve there problem then the way you make money is not a bad thing
2. else if you want to convince people that the service you have is what they need then, yes! there is something bad happening even if it benfits the people in the long run you are targeting people who are better of not using your service.
3. also giving people a service they need and forcing them to go poor because you know how much they need that service, is bad thing

examples:

the companies are making a lot of money from insulin shots, and still it saved millions of people no doubt, the problem is on some countries it cheap for the people and the companies still make a good profit. but in others its a nightmare.

so it is the same service/product but can be loved and hated depending on the people behind providing it.

don't hate sience or the effeort people put into making this world better, but insted push the system to be better and more transparent

A few things to keep in mind : we are in a pandemic. None of us had ever been through a pandemic. The last one was 100 years ago.

During war, a lot of your usual rights get taken away. Most of our generation has never seen a world war. This is as close as we can get to a world war right now. Except the enemy is invisible and airborne.

If we do not vaccinate 75% of more of the world population, we might go extinct.

This isn't a matter of personal choice or freedoms, this is a war on a deadly virus. If we allow every ignorant person to go unvaccinated because they felt like they had the freedom to spread the virus, we risk all humankind.

Vaccinations have been obligatory in the past and will be again.

Flu and other weaker virus don't do this damage. So their vaccines are optional.

This virus is deadly and it is airborne and is mutating fast. If we do not kill this virus cold turkey we could go extinct. We can't allow this simply because people feel like they're in Woodstock Festival fighting for some nonsensical freedom rights. This isn't about freedom, this is about ending the pandemic as quickly as possible.

95% of the people on ventilators are unvaccinated. Look at the damage this antivax campaign is doing. Think about that. This isn't a regular time, it's wartime.

Listen to the doctors. Listen to what the doctors are saying. This is horrific.

Vaccines only supposedly reduce the damage of covid to myself.

But I have developed immunity to covid.

You don't take the pill every day man you only take it twice a day when you're sick. In the study it's a 5 day treatment. I doubt you'd be forced to take it either but if it works then most people will voluntarily take it if they have the opportunity. Good chance it won't even work, still early in the research. I'm sure there are hundreds of drug candidates being studied. These treatments don't have anything to do with the vaccines.

Some people also can't get vaccinated so would be cool for those people to have access to options to reduce the severity of the disease.

Debate it all you want but at least spend 10 seconds looking into it so you have a rough idea of what you're talking about.

Dude, you really need a more exciting job or hobby. Go shoot something in the woods or in a shooting range to blow some steam. Or play a fantasy game where you can be at war all you want. Or have sex. Because we are NOT at war.

We are fighting viruses like we have been doing for millennia. We have been at war with the environment (and other species in it) ever since the first cells were born, let alone organisms like animals and humans. This constant war (a.k.a evolution) made you who you are today.

You are confusing one war (humans vs. environment/other species) with another (humans vs humans). Being at war with viruses does NOT grant governments ability to take your rights away. The virus has almost the same mortality ratio as all the other common viruses that have been killing people for decades. Open the CDC report, it's all there. That's because its fundamentally the same, just slightly different and evolved. Some numbers change, story remains the same.

And about the extinct part - obviously you are either trolling or completely stupid.
