Recently I carried out a case study to actually ascertain if these plugins do work because I haven't had any success with them in the past. It was a simple case study of an SEO optimized post(1) vs NON-SEO optimized posts(10) vs SEMI-SEO OPTIMIZED POSTS(3) using feedback from the plugin as base to determine if the post was actually optimized for google.
This was just as recent as 2 months ago and today I checked the search console to check the results and it was amazing seeing the SEO optimized post ranking for simple search terms. The search term with the most impressions and clicks is a 4 worded sentence and it has the most clicks from tier 1 countries. The other queries averages between 7 to 10 words.
Interestingly the Semi optimized post followed although with a lesser impressions and clicks. All together I have gotten 182 clicks from 5k impressions at 3.4% CTR. This may be less impressive for experienced webmasters but for me Its a motivation to improve on what I'm learning here.
Just to add, the SEO optimized post is actually about a certain popular movie franchise which I felt might be released next year (I just thought about it). I never knew people still search for things that aren't even in existence lol. I wrote NO NEW content on it. All the content in that post was what the reader already knows. I only tried to know how effective it will be on SEO.
To conclude, these plugins works. You just need to follow the instructions and see the impact it makes on your WEBSITE. IT MAY ALSO BE THAT I WAS JUST LUCKY. LOL
