Hi guys,
I just had the chance to try setting up a Facebook advertising campaign from scratch. I've always outsourced it before, but this time I'm doing it myself to learn. I happened to be surfing TikTok and saw a video of "N" sharing a pretty easy-to-understand way to run ads, so I followed it and drew out a few points that I want to share - for those who are like me, wanting to test it yourself to learn more.
Starting with the article
First is the content of the article on the fanpage - it must be concise and easy to understand. I choose a beautiful image with attractive colors and write a few lines of description with CTA (like "Message for advice"). Most importantly: the article must be really clear, not long-winded.
Setting up a campaign - Not as difficult as you think
Go to Ads Manager
I choose the "Message" target because I want customers to inbox me right away.
Name the campaign by date for easy remembering.
Everyone note: do not choose “Boost Post”, go to Ads Manager there will be many options and much better optimization.
Targeting – Temporarily called “target the right people”
I choose the area near me, gender + age suitable for the customer file. It's that simple. I set the budget to $5/day to test 2-3 days in advance, then see the data.
The important thing is not to set it too high at first. Burning money without understanding it clearly is very easy to "disappear".
Track the results – This is important
Every morning I go in to see some basic indicators:
CPM (price 1000 impressions): low is ok, high is to review the content.
CTR: must be above 1% to be considered ok.
Inbox/lead: if the price > $2 and do not see results, I pause immediately.
No need to know everything, just know 2-3 basic indicators to track and that's fine.
Small conclusion
After a few days of testing, I found that running Facebook ads is not too difficult - but you can't "set it and forget it". You have to observe, edit and be patient. Thanks to watching the video, I understand the basic steps better, and now I'm much more confident.
Those of you who are preparing to run ads can try doing it step by step like me. It's simple, easy to follow, and saves quite a bit of money in the early stages.
