Ahrefs’ Domain Rating Changed
As you certainly know, a month ago Ahrefs totally changed the way they calculate their Domain Rating. I always advocated DR as the most accurate SEO metric now a days. But with this change, I don't know what to say anymore. Now I like it much less than before. There are lot of controversions around this Ahrefs move among SEO'ers and most of them are angry. Many say that how ever great SEO tools Ahrefs build, they hardly have any real SEO experience. Which was proven during years by many posts in their blog containing some ridiculous "revelations".
Nevertheless, this is our new reality, and we at Domains R Forever have all AhrDR values in our domain table fixed. And eminently, new DR values correspond very well with our pricing - which says the new DR, even if worse than the old one, is definitely not a total waste, - as our domain assessment and pricing is always manual, based on the backlink power, and never on any 3rd party metrics.
