I paid $500 for a link from Huffington Post. Unfortunately, the link was just on the "blog" part of the website, not on the actual editorial section. There were also other links placed to somewhat try and misdirect attention from my link, although it was a fairly obvious plug anyway and an average quality article. Not much else to say other than it had almost no impact on my overall serps.
I have done that and squeezed all the juice I probably can out of it, still it's not really worth what I paid. There are a few vendors that are offering a real editorial article for the same or less.if its ********/doindex and indexed on google, hit up the huffpost article with tier 2 backlinks and presto you now have an uber powerful backlink
