Quick domain analysis with Linkultra
This will be a quick demonstration on how you can use Linkultra to quickly determine if a site has poor quality backlinks pointing to it.
So you have a domain where the metrics check out ok, anchor texts are ok but how do you audit the quality without manually checking or solely relying on third party metrics that can be manipulated.
1. Gathering the data
Select the following in additional metrics to check
Import you backlinks(Linkultra can import all formats outputted by online tools) or use the find feature where we pull backlink data for you.
2. Quick analysis
once the software has run all the data should be returned, quick and easy way to get a overview is to use the group function on columns
Location on Page
In this example I've grouped by location on page which is the area on the page the backlink is located
As you can see Linkultra has highlighted that a large portion of the backlinks are comments or pingbacks
Detecting spammed pages
In this example I've grouped by spam links, what this does is check other outbound links on the page linking to you anchor texts and domain name.
In this example a large portion of the backlinks are from pages that have been spammed.
If look a little deeper we can see the anchors from other outbound links on the page that caused the pages to be highlighted.
Checking Language of linking webpage
Linkultra check the language of the webpage linking to you. In the below example there is a wide amount of pages with content other than English for a English website.
Platform Type
Linkultra detects a large variety of CMS systems from wordpress blogs to forums. In the below example I've used the detailed view for platform type. Here we can quickly apply filters on the main grid for any backlinks from suspicious or spammed platforms.
Just a few quick ways you can quickly audit a websites backlinks using linkultra. you can of course do a more detailed analysis using the main grid or detailed views/reports and check everything from topic of referring page to social stats to IP distribution of linking domains and of course all the common backlink metrics such as anchor, nofollow etc
