They are Real Names, yes all users have profile pics, posts , folloowers as well as following..

The mentions service let you mention the followers of a target user on any post you want. It was brilliant. I cant wait for this feature to come back.

So, I could set it to mention @MyAccountName on @SimilarAccount's followers on one of my posts and 1k of them will get a little notification they were mentioned and come see it?

I assume it does this in a comment. So, how many comments does it take to mention 1k of someone's followers?

Yea, It could mention @similairaccount`s followers on @YourAccount/AnyAccount`s post in the form of comments & they would receive notifications. I believe it was mentioning 5 usernames per comment, so you would need about 200 to mention 1k of someones followers. The post you pick to receive the mentions would need to be on an account that is not set to private. It was amazing man.

lower quality, they all have profile pictures mostly 1-2 post, if you clicked on them you can quickly tell its fake but its good for mixing in with real comments or for other mention purposes. Pretty fast & reliable too.
