Could you please clarify this:
You stated multiple times that the proxies delivered to a customers are "virgin proxies" which to me means they have never been used before by other people.

Now you say Instagram can be "fickle".
Why would they flag IPs that have never been used with their service?
If the virgin statement would be true, there should be no problem at all with instagram at the beginning and every IP should work.
The only way I could imagine Instagram could flag your IP would be by looking up the source of your IP to then see they come from a datacenter and not a regular ISP but it that would happen all proxy providers would have problems.

This all sounds fishy to me.

I do know that we have tons of customers happily using our proxies with Instagram and I do know for sure that we deliver virgin proxies. I think it has to do with the cat-and-mouse game with Instagram because they are really active with their defences.

Joppe from support says the boss is on vacation, but I'm hoping someone will help me out here: I just signed up on the 250-proxy plan, and am currently using 5 async sockets to scrape LinkedIn, which gives us 4 requests per second. Up to how many concurrent threads is it safe to increase this to?

Hey Alex, thank you for your message. I think it has to do with the time difference. It's 11 AM on a Sunday morning over here and the oldest support ticket is 11 hours old (which means it was sent at midnight local time..). We hope for your understanding that we need to sleep sometimes too ;-)
