Are the domains people getting indexed in Google?

Most likely not. When domains expire Google will usually deindex them once they see it is no longer registered.
It would be bad practice for Google to keep them indexed. However once you register them they will be reindexed.
You can submit your site to indexing services to make the process faster, but it will happen naturally, no need to worry.

Thanks, I don't really have a "most expensive" or "top metrics". All of my domains I research custom after the order is placed.
This way I make sure your domain is "made to order", and isn't floating around on some list other people have been passing around.
