I have pretty much the same questions.

Yes.Google news coverage is assured.Your link will with go with a relevant News story. All stories get indexed by G news in minutes.Note that the story will not be advertisement of your site just that it will be mentioned contextually.

It is a General intl news .com website run on mobile friendly wordpress theme and can cover all family friendly topics. Affiliates are fine as long as they do not spam (so called juicing up) the news link treating as a parasite.

Basically,it has hundreds of genuine links including from stanford.edu,leading newspapers etc PA/DA-50ish/40ish,TF/CF-30/40ish . The old owner did not pass social profiles. New ones are being established. My point is it is not that I picked up some dropped PR5 domain to rehash for G news or stuff Domain itself ll worth few grands in Namejet type auctions.

But,it is NOT a "business insider"website that I am selling links for $65 though it is a strong site and Google News approved. Your story sits on the homepage for few days. Limited number of links will be sold and of course,regular news stories will be published as usual.

If you have any long term decent web property,it is a good do-follow link+ Google news coverage. Hopefully,this sums it up well.
