This seems to be a really powerful plugin, but would it be recommended to be used for affiliate sites?
Ex: Product review - if they press back, then they are sent to the affiliate site against their will or would it be wiser to just have it redirect them to another inner post?

That is up to you to test and see what converts better for you traffic.
You can split test traffic and send half to one page, half to another, or split test it to multiple pages (e.g. affiliate programs) and see which one converts better.
