The only thing keeping me from joining this sort of thing is the huge payout requirements.
Why does it have to be so high?
A person might get lucky and generate a few sales and have $30 in their account, which the network gets paid, but unless the person reaches a certain threshold, he will never get his money.
I know, they all do it, even google and I hate it.
Oh well, we all know why it is done like this, commissions never get paid out to the little guys who might get lucky and make a few sales and all those sales adds up to big money that does not have to be paid out.
If a person generates even $18 in commissions, he should get it IMHO.
No, I am not trashing on the network, just the general payout system that they all seem to love.
Good luck with this, if the payouts were set lower, i might just try this one out.

Gypsyroad $100 is by no means high at all.
This is low compared to other networks that have a threshold of $200+
The reason why I personally set it at $100 is because it gives me time to analyze and evaluate the affiliate.
In this business there is a ton of risk. Here are two things I've come across thus far:
1. Stolen CC's which are then used by foreign affiliates to complete trial offers.
2. Proxied I.Ps to complete email submit offers.
The list goes on....

I have guys who red line credit limits to buy ads so they need payments to keep it going and I do that.
The network isn't all about making money its about fostering an enduring relationship.
If you join the affiliate marketing game you don't do it part time. You do it full time. A lot of affiliates give up after 3 months.
Why because there all over the place. There is no focus. My network for example has 400+ offers that doesn't mean you go and promote all.
What that means is you find an offer that you can promote and you keep hitting it till you nail it. Once you do scale that campaign and move on to others.
Over 85% of affiliates are misled by mentors, programs and ebooks. If you really want to learn how to be a winner in the game invest in yourself. Get started, learn along the way and optimize. $18 is chump change. I've took affiliates from $0 to $5,000 in 30 days or less.
