We had to pull the email out of the spam trap again, but yes, we got it. Just use the email address you originally contacted us with. We just needed to know what the PayPal email address was, we didn't actually need you to email us from it

You need to install a copy of phpBB3. After that you install and setup Forum Generator. Forum Generator pulls content from across the web and re-contextualizes that content into live conversations occurring on your forum. You can use it for SEO, CPA, AdBrite, Kontera, or any number of other methods. But yeah, that is the basic gist of it.

i still say this is pointless unless it works with vbulletin.

And no i am not just trolling. i bought forum generator last week and have since been trying to get phpbb3 to do even the most mundane things like SEO friendly urls or just fucking working at all.

phpbb is still generations behind Vbulletin and the only thing it has going for it is that its free.

The best part of this plugin is the keyword generator by a long way.

other than that does it pull any content from anywhere except for yahoo answerrs.?? it doesnt from what i can tell all the content comes from there

It was released publicly last week as we mentioned in the thread and to our subscribers and customers. The reason why you had to ask is because it was in beta, meaning it still required testing across more hosting companies than we'll ever personally test on. It has been in testing with our customers for 3 months. It did well and no major issues came up, so now it is public.

We're sorry you feel that way. We chose phpBB3 because it is free and open source, which matters to a lot of people. We don't support people stealing vB as we respect its developers.

phpBB3 works perfectly for this function and a very good argument could be made that URLs (aside from domain) play next to no role in good SEO. I feel comfortable saying this because we've done extensive testing for years and there is no ascertainable difference.

It pulls from many different sites other than Yahoo! Answers. Yahoo! Answers is one of its sources and for some topics may provide a lot of content because it is by far the most popular English-based Answer site, but that just comes down to probability.

We've been considering making it work with vBulletin, but quite frankly only a small handful of people have asked. Quite a few of our customers have had a lot of success with it so to say it is "pointless until it works with vbulletin" is pretty myopic. Maybe you're just not using it properly.

Big sites such as imdb and other similar very large sites do make a convincing arguement in some cases but from my research over the past 5 years i would have to say that having good keyword rich url's is third only to keyword rich domain name and inbound links.

Vbulletin is just so simple to use in comparison to phpbb and has so many good plugins and additional features that my only real route here would be to create loads of posts and then impex it across.

If you would consider making this work with vbulletin i would be happy to cofund any development along with the other vbulletin users.
