It will get spidered and indexed regardless of whether or not you use one of those SEO mods, but the choice is entirely yours to do so and some would argue that it is beneficial. I'd opt for spending the time generating a few backlinks to your forum to get it spidered faster. FG interacts with phpBB's db directly, so .htaccess changes (i.e. those generally made by SEO mods) don't effect its ability to update the forum.

Thanks for your reply OST... btw, as an avid SMF user, phpbb3 sucks when it comes to installing mods. I know they have the "automod" mod, but even that doesn't auto install most mods.

Surely most search engines now are able to deal with forum url's and the need for an SEO mod probably isn't too great. Anyone care to share their thoughts on this?

From experience (using smf) I know that SEF URL's do help a bit. I may have just answered my own question..... But I'd still like to know others experience/opinions.

Got a couple of questions though

1. How easy is it and where do change the forum theme/design?
Obviously would prefer to have some nice designed theme that generic one.

2. Does FG actually install the forum phpbb script or must I do that manually

1. The forum designs can be changed quite easily through phpBB itself. For some freely available phpBB 3.0 styles, check out this link: http://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo/3.0/

2. FG does not install phpBB, you'll need to install that on the server you plan to host it on first.

Some adult terms are fine, but this is definitely made for more general subjects. An actual keyword search for "b*g t*ts" does have a lot of edited results, so it doesn't surprise me that you're not getting many results. Try something *less* sexual and see what kind of results you get.

I usually evaluate an offer by reading the first page and last page of posts to get a feel of the offer and then get a feel of how things are going with the offer.

But in this instance, I must say, I have read all 14 pages and the software looks like it will be awesome. There has been some really good feedback too about how to use the forum to help out in various ways. Thanks to those who were kind enough to give some specific contributions and examples.

From various responses, it also looks like support is excellent and the software is continually being updated and the price is right too (even though I'm one of the late adopters getting it for $95...it's still a steal).

Okay...time for me to go purchase.
