Sorry for the noob question but what is a proxy server? How do I use proxies?

In a really, really simple way, a proxy acts as a middleman between computers, essentially hiding the "real identity" of the computer connecting to the proxy.

The proxy section here at BHW is a great resource.

Your best bet is going to be getting a VPS or dedicated server. You don't need one to run FG, but you won't have to deal with the same headaches. BHW uses VolumeDrive, you might want to check them out. Their prices are pretty reasonable.

Links from a forum are good juice but more than one or two will not be valide. Am I correct.
But this will be good for single links to multiple sites.

on most hosts I believe so, but I am with hostgator and had to get them to enable it for me.

I installed FG on one of my HG account(baby) and have been monitoring CPU usage all day, it hasnt even increased and remained at 3-4%

The risk of getting shutdown is if your CPU usage is at 20-25% consistently

FG uses minimal and acceptable cpu usage so long as you remain on the slow to moderate configuration

But if youre on VPS or Dedicated, then go as fast as a cheetah

To be safe, 3 FG installation on SLOW config
Try to monitor it for a day and see the cpu consumption

A safe content "toggle" switch of sorts, maybe like g00gl3 images would be great.

In this way, we could use FG to set up family-safe types of forums, but some folk can also set up forums that specifically have sexual and / or taboo themes

In either case, perhaps it might even be good to allow the user to select the specific content sources from within the user control panel.

Oh, and an affiliate program would be an awesome thing too, I figure.

I purchased but haven't set it up yet, going to now.

From what I can tell from the example forum through, it would be great to develop some type of artificial intelligence type of thing so that the posts appear more as if from the same person. For example, one of the posts on the example forum is clearly a forum conversation between two or three people, yet every post is a different username. Maybe if the content it's being pulled from is the same user, it should also be same username on the generated forum.

Also, as mentioned on here before, it would be great for them to be able to randomly put related google images in particular posts in reference to that topic.
