I'm interested in trying this out and I was wondering if it would work with an established (but less than six month old) domain with a wordpress blog already attached to the site. Can I add your autoblog as an additional WP blog on my domain? Or would it be better to start with a fresh domain and WP blog?

Yes, you can add this to the domain you already have and add it as an additional blog (Sub domain I assume?). Usually I recommend using a fresh domain but if you wanted to add it to your pre-existing domain that wouldn't be an issue.
