Hello mate..
Im currently using Laravel framework creating an app with API to connect with other apps I have planned.
Mainly is for logistics. Im up for paying the most experienced programmers (because we both know they know how to solve problems faster and the shortcuts for developing fast).
Do you have a coder that knows Laravel?
Also Ive been coding apps using UBot, but I would like to migrate some of them to .NET directly.
Please let me know.

Hi yes, we actually have couple of clients who use us for their themes updates and maintenance.

They sell their themes via themeforest and other theme marketplaces.

Connect with the support desk on skype - codemongoosesupport and they should be able to help you out with your exact requirements.

REVIEW

I made a purchase back around mid November for a flat-fee project, and finally got my final delivery a day or two ago, so here's my review for what I purchased. I suppose I'll start off with the negative, since a good portion of my experience was relatively negative, but I will also mention the positives and upsides later on as well.

For my specific project, I asked for a college registration application (scrape my available classes, then immediately register me in when it opens). I wanted to be in either a web or desktop application, but since they told me it couldn't be done, I settled for a browser application. The given TAT was November 27th, but it was extremely overdue, seeing as I didn't receive the final application until yesterday, January 15th. I allowed a reasonable deadline extension since the site I needed it done for has a lot of downtime, but I think two months over the given TAT is ridiculous. Especially more so since they did an "in-depth analysis" of what I required, they should've known about the working hours of the site. It also took many reworks since they left out a few of the features I asked for, and a couple parts of the application was buggy. I'm also not sure if this was due to a language barrier of some sort, but it took me a VERY long time and required multiple explanations as towards what I wanted. The actual sum I paid was higher than what I was quoted for by others, but I decided to just go with them by sheer reputation.

However, aside from paying a higher price for something that took very, very long to finish, the only thing that didn't make me want to just quit and demand a refund altogether was due to their EXCELLENT support. Due to our time zone difference it was difficult to communicate since we were off by 12 hours, but whenever they had office hours and I managed to catch them, they usually had an immediate response. On top of that, they offered Teamviewer sessions to make sure my application was running properly since I had so many issues with it. The support they offered to make sure I'm satisfied is without a doubt, the sole redeeming quality of their service.

My biggest issue though, is that the application was delivered so ridiculously late, I no longer had a use for it, since I ended up having to do it manually over the last two months anyway. Essentially, I actually ended up paying for an application that I no longer had a use for.

TL;DR :

Pros
- Incredible support

Cons
- Extremely long TAT
- Huge language barrier
- Many, many reworks and bug testings

All in all, I would not recommend hiring them on a hourly/monthly basis, but on a flat-fee pricing. It's a waste of money to pay monthly, but on a flat-fee they will definitely do their best to satisfy whatever you need, especially if it's going to take quite some time.

Would I use this specific service ever again? Probably not. It was an incredibly frustrating experience. I've been very interested in their forum/Q&A service for quite some time now, but I'm leaning towards not going with them anymore. Even though they offer excellent support, this does not make up for the lack of results.

I suppose all in all, I would give this service a 4 out of 10. Maybe a 5 out of 10 at most. Mediocre at best honestly.

Hi Pandadomo,

Thanks for your detailed feedback.

I had been monitoring your project closely so here are few things which I would like to share which you forgot I believe, which led to major delays by the programmer you selected.

Your project had a typical requirment where the window of actual use case testing was very small to be honest, like few hours when it opened.

The dev has to wait for new classes to open and then when they open he could only test his code.

Along with that, there was frequent downtime of the site which you wanted to automate which caused huge delays in testing and debugging the code.

Those who develop scrapers and bots will know the time it takes to debug such stuff.

Anyways I am not justifying the long delay, am just trying to explain you that its not the developers incompetency but your specific business requirement which needed a lot of wait time during tests and debug sessions which caused the delay.

The developer who was assigned has programmed lots of scrappers in the past and can code a normal bot of a site in a week's time.

Also along with the site downtime, the timezone issues were another reason I could see, cause whenever they had queries they had to wait for the next wrking day and waste the current day doing nothing.

All in all I am happy you have the end product and I hope to give you a better experience in the future, if you do plan to try codemongoose again.

Trust me had you chosen any freelancer from any other freelance platform this project would have long been shelved by him due to the complexities and issues involved :) But we didn't quit.

Thanks for this post! Great sales page. And I'm just happy to see someone slam oDesk! Everything you say is true: oDesk is 90% garbage. I love your presentation and I'll certainly recommend you

Thanks for your kind words!

Hello BHW, a few days ago the CodeMongoose team finished a project for me and this is my full review:

Right off the top I want to say thank you to the OP and the entire team at CodeMongoose for helping to fulfill a dream I've had for several years. I went to looking to build a daily fantasy sports betting site, I had already gotten multiple quotes and estimated delivery times. The quotes I got from the other companies were way out of my budget and almost gave up looking. Then I had a few chats with some of the management and decided to take a chance and move forward with CM as the dev team.

This was really scary for me at first because I've worked with a lot of coders in the past, some good and some just couldnt code their way out of an MS-DOS prompt. CodeMongoose on the other hand was very professional and I could tell right away they knew their stuff.

For the inital set up and getting started phase I give them a solid 10/10

Ok, so now starts the long process of development after sending back and forth one or two docs for how the site should work an operate. A few weeks went by and then they presented me with the basic GUI for the site and game.

During the entire process I was able to chat with the coders and management via skype which is a big plus in my book any time I got worried, had a question or anything . Another good point to make here is that during the development process I was able to see the site progress via a demo site they set up for me. This allowed me to not only see the progress but communicate with the dev team and have them make changes within the guidelines of the project.

For support and customer service I give them another 10/10

Now I'm not going to lie, this was a VERY long project due to the size and nature of the site and how it works. It took months and months of development and It was more than a few weeks behind schedule. But I not even going to hold that against them too much, I don't think any of us realized how complex these site are. And now that I have the site files and had time to look them over its really an impressive amount of code, even more impressive was getting it all to work together.

It should also be noted that in the past 10+ years I have tasked coders with off the wall ideas and projects they have never seen or heard of before and NEVER, NOT EVEN ONCE has a coder been 100% on time with a job they were not familiar with. There are always bumps in the road. I think its just one of those things that come with the territory of hiring programers. Its hard to tell exactly how long a project will take until you really get into it.

With all of that being said, plus the fact that I was away for about 4 weeks, and when things were really behind IndianBill stepped up and added additional programers on the job like a good business owner would. I give them a 7/10 for being on time.

Once the development was finally done and we had a 100% working fantasy sports betting site and affiliate program it was time to setup everything on a live server. CodeMongoose brought in 2 server experts to install the site and get it up and running.

Here's where we had really issues, so I'm just gonna go ahead and say that if you try to host a really important site on a HostWinds VPS your gonna have a sh*tty time. I was going back and forth with the server team and hostwinds support until I understood that the server I rented was just up to the task of hosting the site. Once again IndianBill to the rescue! He had recommended I use Linode, which if I had followed his advice to start with, I would have saved about a week of headaches. The server team then moved and installed the site on its new server. There were a few bugs left from the server move but the dev team is already fixing them.

Server and site setup 10/10

They are too professional and nice to say it but I can be a real pain to deal with. So I give the whole crew over at CodeMongoose another 10/10 for having to put up with me.

Also a big shout out to Vivek who busted his butt to help make it happen! Good job!

If your still reading this then you either have way too much time on your hands or are thinking of hiring IndianBill and his team. In which case get up with Bill and start your coding project because I'm convinced these guys can code ANYTHING!

P.S. If you want to see the site and their work for yourself just PM me and send you the link.
