I've had a lot of people use penalized sites with LinkWORM and it helps probably 25% of them. It seems really random and depends on a lot of factors, but so far it seems hit or miss with sites that have been penalized!

Glad to have you! It's hard to get people to give reviews / post serp screenshots simply because they think it'll effect the longevity of the service, or they'd like to keep it to themselves. I track everyones sites / keywords for that reason, makes it a lot easier to show people how everything is going!
