Sorry about the network mate. But I think you should be partying now. If Matt Cutts would mention my WORK in his tweet my ass would be in the moon telling everyone about how Google cared about my work. I am sure you ll get over it soon and make a new network. And people who are firing at him please calm down. This is a black hat forum. We have all been there done that. I am sure he made you some good money. You should save some money when you are making Money. This is what your bank account for.

A post to everyone complaining in this thread. How long ago was it since BMR (build my rank) was hit? I'll help you out -- about one year and 8 months ago. That's a long time in SEO-years.

If you're buying links from a public blog service -- there are risks involved. These are known risks that every top SEO blogger in the industry has commented on, and there have been dozens of threads on BHW about it. To make a complaint about your own personal site getting hit: I have empathy for your loss, but come on. You sound like you went to the casino and put it all on black and you're crying now because you thought you were guaranteed a win.

On a much more broad level, everything suggested on BHW would get your website personal scrutiny from Google. Some good advice is to build a free blog network out of web2.0s ... but if you showed Matt Cutts your site and showed off your 50 web2.0s that you built yourself -- he would tell you that those links are worthless, because you are simply vouching for yourself. All backlinks should be someone else vouching for you. His opinion is that your backlink portfolio should be devalued because of it, and you would suffer the same smackdown that any user of this blog service might be receiving.

The only reason Google makes public displays like this is because these types of links from blog networks are strong. I have absolutely no doubt that any action Google has taken towards this network has been manual. Right now Google trolls are trying to get members to divulge which sites they were getting links from, because they most likely only got a portion of the network.

Its the same Google does with buying links -- every once in a while they do a very public crackdown, because there's no way they can do this by algorithm. There's no way they can take down blog networks by algorithm.

Blog network links are very powerful -- and if you have a churn and burn site, use them directly. If you have an authority site that you're building and you want to use blog network links from a public blog network, then just link to a tier 1 instead of directly to your money site. There's no way Google can penalize you that way.

If the owner wants, they can regroup themselves, isolate penalized websites, identify weasels, move their operation to a different host, rename themselves and they're good to go. I'd have no qualms using them to a tier 1, and neither should anyone else.

In summary, if you like to gamble then direct link from public blog networks. If you don't like to gamble, link to web2.0s from public blog networks (still very powerful). If you're complaining that you didn't know there were any risks, you've been intentionally ducking your head in the sand.

@bluematter, my condolences that Google randomly picked your network. I recommend you keep up with it, regroup, rename the network, take your best customers with you and start anew -- blog networks are here to stay. Good luck.

I got the penalty too... sucks... but we rebuild and move on. I do want to know if you're rebuilding your network tho.

Yes we are mate:)

I am online on skype for next 12 hours, so all our current clients who needs to have a chat please hit me up on skype
;)

People, either get thicker skins, start using your head, or GTFO this site.

Goofle has ALWAYS said you cannot buy inks to your site.

You could have built your own links. You could have built your own private network.

But what did you do? You bought links to your site.

Now you have a penalty.

This is what your Mama meant by telling there are consequences for your actions when you were growing up.

If you buy links and did not know a penalty was around the corner, you have learned a good lesson that will serve you for life. Now you know with certainly that buying links will get you a penalty if you get caught, it might even get you banned.

Carve this into your brain, there are no safe links you can buy, and there is no save adsence traffic you can buy.

This service was clearly for churn and burn sites. The second you buy a link you light the fire.

When it burns, enjoy the bonfire, you built it.

Otherwise shut up.

Wow, what a response! :)

I don't know why bluematter is getting so much flame, you bought 100 high pr links, he delivered the said links, and you would be stupid if you think you will forever rank and no chances of getting penalty.

There is no level playing field in SEO industry, there is absolutely no guarantee the link you bought today won't be deem bad in couple of month.

Bluematter you should be over the moon with all this hype, expcially matt cutt tweeting about your service, you service must be kicking some ass. kudos mate

When can we expect this service to be offered again? Looks like it's on hold?

Sorry, first time poster here, long time lurker :)

How well does this service work for using them to power up your tier 2 web 2.0s?

As you know, I'm one of the ones that got hit.

So how long before you're back up? I'm thinking about cancelling until you're back up if it's going to be more than a month.

hey guys, bluematter! forgive my silliness, as im a newbie, suppose i have a 1-tier site such as a squido lens, or a pinterest business page. if i make use of your service to link to one of these sites - which point to my money site - does the footprint passes up to my main-money site and therefore receive this fine letter the other lads received? my money site is an affiliate directory and definitely not a churn and burn site. any thoughts please? many thanks - sorry if im a bit off topic

Regards to all
