For difficulty of a keyword I tend to use intitle:"my keyword" and see how many competing sites there are. Using this method, what quantity of sites in the search results do you consider easy, medium and difficult?

The blog was ranked about a month ago. It was penalised by google the same day it ranked, and the actual blog itself was deleted the next day from memory. It's long been deindexed by google.......

Thank you, appreciated. In what way would i be worried? Updates are constantly being released, so i don't think it's weird timing at all. If we stopped everytime an update came about, we wouldn't get anything done.

Sorry, this isn't a method i follow. The only things i look at are the search volume, and the competiton on the 1st page.
