They are all English speaking in China and Vietnam. The problem is : people in US or Europe won't understand them. And I am serious, very serious. US$300 is not a very attractive salary even in these country. Let alone educated and English speaking.

Sorry I don't mean to hijack this thread but merely to suggest to the OP that you may also consider getting good article writers from the Philippines. In fact I found job posts in oDesk specifically looking for Filipino/Filipina writers so I think they are doing a great job.

I hired a staff member for a month through Globol a few months back. I was reasonably happy with the results, for the cost.

Communication was great, both from my VA and the manager I was working with. My VA's English skills were ok. Perfectly fine for communicating, but you would never mistake them for any kind of native speaker. They took a little while to get up to speed on my task, and didn't do it quite as fast as I could, but at the price, it was a good deal. My task really required people with better English skills, so I didn't end up hiring them for longer, but I would definitely recommend them for lower level or simple tasks.
