Can the harvester harvest UNICODE keywords?
Yes it can Harvest UNICODE keywords
Can the harvester harvest UNICODE keywords?
Really?? Are you sure bro?? You know like Japanese, Chinese etc??![]()
Harvester doesn't seem to be working for me. Google doesn't work at all. It just hangs at "Initializing Harvesting". Yahoo sometimes gets past that to the harvesting but then sticks. The only SE that seems to be working for me is Bing and it doesn't return enough results. Also, when I try to enter any keyword more complicated than a single word like 'keyword1' + 'keyword2', Bing hangs up too and doesn't return any results. I'm using fast proxies, but I get these same issues even w/o proxies. Any ideas what the problem could be?
This harvester could be better but it does have its uses, namely excellent character support. It doesn't compare to scrapebox but SB doesn't support characters well at all. The main problem is, this harvester is a lot slower and gets a lot less diverse results! For example, if I compare the same custom footprint + keywords entered in scrapebox, SB ends up with the correct URLs of the type that I am looking for and which should be harvested based on that footprint, while the Advanced URL harvester brings up a lot of non-relevant, useless stuff. I am scraping for pages with a specific footprint on-page, but this 'advanced' thing is bringing up a load of random root domains (WTF). You guys need to go and develop this more. The only reason I got it is because it could harvest UNICODE but nothing works with it. Now I gotta try and do loads of crazy stuff to my keyword lists to try and make them work with it.
EDIT: I just fixed the issue, it was inconvenient but I got around it in the end.
I did a test harvesting the same keywords, no custom footprint this time, vs Scrapebox. The 'Advanced' URL harvester returns 3000 results but only 64 unique domains, SB returns 3000 results with 500 unique domains.
One good thing about the harvester is that it is VERY low on system resources, it's almost like nothing is running even on multi threads!
I bought 2 copies of your harvester to harvest UNICODE keywords, but on one license my computer crashes when I try to work it.
On the other computer, I can harvest about 5000 results before it freezes. If I use proxies, it freezes on the proxies, maybe when a proxy is dead it cannot rotate to a working proxy, or it just freezes and keeps going through keywords, but gives no more results. This is harvesting yahoo which does not ban / stop harvesting like google, so I know it must be the fault of the program.
Can you please resolve these problems or give me a refund and perhaps direct me to a UNICODE scraper that actually WORKS.
Suraj, thanks for your quick response. Yes, a refund would be the last resort but to be honest, I would just like to be able to harvest millions of URLs like you do.
Right now I can only harvest lists of MAXIMUM 50 keywords (yes, 50) before it freezes. Even with no proxies on yahoo (where scrapebox can scrape for days on end without stopping), it still freezes. I really just need a good unicode scraper.
What happens is, it seems to go pretty fast at the start, then it just stalls. Stops in its tracks. I honestly don't know what's taking it so long, if I use good private proxies or no proxies or public proxies it's still the same.
And the other computer version still crashes, now when I press harvest![]()
Please make sure you have the latest version of the harvester. You may get download that from here: http://www.freeurlharvester.com/
I have the latest version of the Advanced URL Harvester and all it does is crash immediately when I start it on Windows 2008 Server R2. .NET 3.5 is installed and support for ASP is already there.
Hi Suraj, Thanks for the refund, but can I keep one of the softwares? I will pay you the 49$ of course. It's just how desperate I am for a unicode scraper, it goes very slow but maybe it will take 1 month to get the URLs I need, I would still wait. Thanks.
So NQA refund for 30 days is still offered? & If I were to purchase and I got a new computer, would you allow it to transfer or?Thanks for the questions! Will buy in a few days.
