the URL harvester no longer works for me. Is this happening to anyone else?

it just stopped 2 weeks ago. Also live and google never worked even though they were ticked. weird

Google is working fine without any problems.

Live is no longer working due to conversion to BING (a new method of searching and all).

You may please try other free URL harvesters from the net and some free URL harvesters are available at BHW too.

URL harvester is provided free as bonus software so no support/ updates are provided for it.

Hey all...

I think my url is banned by the blogs with akismet... WHen I comment manually with my url I get a blank screen or I get redirected..

But when I add my comment with another url I see that the comment is in moderation.

Now.. with the spammer I decided to look at some of the blog posts that were posted to according to the program.

I then posted a comment with my url manually and most of them either had a blank screen or redirected.. as above.. and when I commented without my url I saw my comment was in moderation as well.

Does it mean that my url is blacklisted?
If it is blacklisted, why does the program indicate that it is posted when I comment manually the blog does not accept it?

I have also noticed that blogs that were posted to have a captcha on them.. how can the program say it was posted to with a captcha in place?

Should I not really worry about it? I have seen growth in my links.. But obvisouly I want to get as much out of the program as I can.

any advice would be great.

Really sorry for the delay in answering the questions...

I'm sure URLs do get banned by Akismet but then you need to be as smart as possible, use free .tk domains, .co.cc domains or just buy some .info's in bulk and use them for spamming, just remember to 301 redirect them to your main money site.

Akismet is a learning engine, so if you make some real comments (15-20) with your URL, next time Aksimet would pass your comments without juding it.

Also, even if you don't want to do anything above, there's still no need to worry, as you said that even now you are getting links, just keep on spamming blindly as many blogs don't even have Akismet installed...(the percentage is not very high, but still this method works)

Now, to get your URL unbanned from Akismet, just mail the developers, apologize to them or just give them any other reason and tell them to un ban you and they should do it.

does anyone know the percentage of blogs out there that have akismet up and running? obviously I know that each WP install has it there.. but the user has to get an API key etc.. etc... does anyone know of any figures?

I tried to email them and no deals.. they said that they can not do anything about it.. and its up to the blog owner to allow comments to pass through..

What about deep linking? should I just link to homepage using the .infos? I have heaps of .info's I can use... but I also have quite a few urls that I want to rank as well...

So are you saying that I need a .info for each url that I want to rank for?

Should I build a page then redirect after a week or two? Or just placing a redirect on a new domain is ok?

1. IT always seems to stop at about 1800 extraced blogs. Its just doesnt do any more after abotu that. How do I get it to do say 10k in 1 go.
2. Say I scrape based on 1 keyword lets say SEO. Its takes about 1800, then its stops.. then I start again.. I Notice the next batch is not hte same... Does it pickup where it left off? Does it compare to the other extracted text files?

Please advise ASAP

See, for deep-linking purposes, you'll need to 301 redirect all your .info's to your exact url,
but in case you don't find that practical, just redirect them to your main site
OR just keep on blindly spamming your real deep URLs, atleast 10% of them will get approved.

Also, the link juice does count only if you do 301 redirects.

It may be atm for you BUT $99 is nothing for this GOLDEN tool, I am not saying it myself, you may read other people's comments in the thread

I have used this tool to spam hundreds of thousands of links and never received any complaints from hostgator, domain registrars, host monster, hawkhost or another host (Forgotten the name).

I have also used it for some nastier stuff and still received no complaints.

I have decided to spam my link networks as well.. so I am not just spamming my main url.. that will be mixed in now with other urls when I do a run...

But yea I have seen a nice increase in links.. and works a charm..

Do you do any url redirects as well? with 301's?

My question is this; if I buy at the $99 price, is a 're-set' fee still required if I need to re-install my PC?

If you buy UWCS from the website @ $99, a reasonable no. of reset are allowed for free, this has already been mentioned in the thread many times.

Or whoever on BHW who bought UWCS at $50 wants to get his serial reset many times, may buy the Reset Pack for $50 and get 20 resets for free.
