Correct me if I'm wrong but when someone actually thumbs down your comment or flag it as spam, won't it then become a normal comment? I was doing comment rating two weeks ago and that was the challenge I faced. I'd have my comments rated to the top and then a day later (or even a couple of hours), my comment becomes a normal comment.

You are correct. When someone thumbs down your comment, then it will go down in the list. This is normal YouTube user activitiy. Of course the more spammy your comment will read, then the more thumbs down you will get. Our team makes suggestions to each user whenever it comes to comment copywriting advice.

Another factor is how popular the video will be.
