how many sites are now on database and what is success ratio (posted-live links) ?

Anyway to make this work with MegaOCR captcha? it usually uses the de-captcha login but it wouldn't accept it.

We're trying to implement MegaOCR support, but they seem to be ignoring our support emails. We will let you know when there is something new on this front.

ah, I know what you mean mate. we've been giving them hell over on the senuke forum for their poor support.

It's a shame cos I only use MegaOCR, would love to get this. I'll leave a post on the nuke forum and see if that'll help. They also have skype support, you tried that?

No, not yet. Do you happen to know their Skype username?

Hi there,

Just noticed that both MoinMoin and PukiWiki are both completely missing from the Wikibase list. Are those platforms not supported? I thought they were a while back.

Thanks.

I've asked for a refund. It's been nearly a week and still haven't gotten it. I sent my request to [email protected] and all I get is a lame reply from the developer making an excuse.

Do you honor your refund policy?

yeah, it's mega.ocr, let me know once it works.

It's already done and will be available with the next update coming in a few days.

MoinMoin is supported by WikiRobot but we are currently not scraping for it. PukiWiki is not supported as this is actually the first time I hear for this platform, but we will take a look.

I'm the developer you have spoken to and I really don't appreciate public bashing as we have always promptly replied to all your questions.

Every single customer that requested a refund has been granted one. Now, you bought WikiRobot through a different channel than we normally sell it through (JVZoo and it was during the launch). I've already explained to you that launch and sales via JVZoo was handled by our outside partners and we don't have direct access to issue refunds, rather they do it after we contact them. And we have several times, so we have done everything in our power. I believe they are currently backed up with all the launch work, but you will be getting your refund as everyone else has. A little more patience please.

Thanks for the reply. It would be great to have WikiBase scrape and include MoinMoin also. Even if its just a few dozens sites, this is an entirely different platform, and platform diversity is key in today's link building. To have the ultimate wiki building solution, those of us who opted for the premium wiki bases subscription would highly appreciate access to all the sites available to post to :)

And if PukiWiki is a possibility to integrate in the future, then you really will have the ultimate wiki building solution on the market which posts to every single wiki platform under the sun.

I appreciate the great support as always. Fantastic product, and if those two things are possible to implement, think you'll have an even greater product.

Thank you.

Yeah we are working on adding MoinMoin sites to WikiBase. Btw - there are at least 10 other wiki platforms WikiRobot doesn't support. :) The reason for that is, that there really is not a lot of sites running on those platforms and it wouldn't be worth it integrating them into WikiRobot.

An update has been released - WikiRobot 1.0.29:

  • added MegaOCR support (you need to use their new tunnel in order for it to properly work)
  • added a few safety measures (e.g. popup before deleting a project, etc.)
  • a few bug fixes
  • several performance and success rate improvements
You can manually trigger the update process by going into Help / Check For Updates or by restarting WikiRobot.

How many times a month do you update wikibase? In my wikibase 4207 url's, I added my 100 url, then i removed all dead sites and i was left with only 3429 url. 4207-3429=778-100(my urls) = 678. Why in your wikibase 678 dead sites?? Сorrect me if I'm wrong...

WikiBase is updated about once per week. By updated I mean that fresh working sites are added to it. We do a cleanup of bad sites about once per month as we actually track stats once a site is marked as bad and monitor it for about a month before removing it. We do that because if site is bad during a checkup, it doesn't mean it is actually dead. Often their server is down, they have script issues, etc. A cleanup of WikiBase is coming this week.

wiki bot is incrdedible bout the base as well does thousands of link . How do I check if sites I added are do follow ?

Thanks for your nice words. :)

We provide that information for all the WikiBase sites (if site is Do-follow, it will have a green check in the "Do-Follow" column, or you can also use filters to show only do-follow sites. For user added sites, this information becomes available once a post to a site has been made.

This is a generic message. AOL changed the email registration routine and that's why it is failing. We have already fixed this issue and will release the update in the following days.
