Did you get it? You will receive an email from wac and from mycommerce too.
There are hundreds of upgraded users (but ofcourse i will say that
). Just to tell you that in tier 1 position 1 paras are kept in position 1 only (same with others too) so the overall readability is much better.Email sent to you. I need to know the email as i have never seen that error before.

Is it worth buying the upgrade for Tier1? or better use Kontent Machine for it?

If you find that basic version is working without problem then you can consider purchasing the upgrade. The tier 1 upgrade is not bugged - must be something with basic version.

A friend said that the spin is very weak... Do I need a better spinner like aI or TBS for GSA?

WAC does not support any API so they are of no use. The problem is that their API is too slow to use. I mean generally WAC uses 80-100 articles to spin. Now imagine spinning these many articles through API. However no one really complained about weak spinning so if that's true i will try and build a more sophisticated one.

Is it possible to do some manual tweaking on articles so that they are tier 1 worthy?

You need the basic version to get tier 1 update. You cannot just buy the upgrade
. I am making tier 1 more worth it. We recently bought a service from another member from here which was not doing well. I am adding our own translation servers and another database of over 2 million articles all for free for tier 1 members.One time fee only. There are no recurring costs here.
We do provide a paid upgrade which allows you to build tier 1 quality content. You can search for review on google for "wicked article creator tier 1" if you consider it. But i am afraid there is no manual tweaking for tier 2 articles which are built by default. WAC is completely automated - like hands free approach. So there is not much tweaking possible.
