I've been using one of hostwinds VPS servers. The tier 2 one and I have to say the speed is absolutely horrible.
You can't do anything on it really.

All of my sites were suspended without any notification, i didn't even noticed till i saw my traffic dropped to 0 in the past few days, on the live chat they didn't helped me at all, after long waiting they told me to contact them via ticket, and no one is answering on the ticket now.
That is ridiculous and one serious hosting company shouldn't allow things like this to happen.

Got help from the owner of Hostwinds today. I guess they had major changes going on. Hopefully its all well now.

I ordered a VPS from hostwinds a few weeks ago, and at first it was very slow and I was thinking of canceling. A few days after ordering my vps was down and I messaged support and got a fast reply stating that they are migrating my vps to a different server.

After roughly 2 days of downtime (which at the time I was upset about) my server came back up. Their new servers are super fast, and I love hostwinds now. If you had a problem with a slow VPS in the past give them another try now, you will love the new speed.

Could someone tell if everything is okay now? I understood that some changes were undertaken resulting in some issues. Also are there some coupon codes available?

I also read some bad reviews saying that they do not respect the discounts. Any thoughts about that?

I just spent ten minutes talking to a support person through the online chat thing and none of the discounts worked, in fact I suspect the support was third-party as they were just giving me discount codes I knew didn't work. I still signed up because the package is cheap as a piss in friend's suitcase. Not sure I'll put my money sites there though.

So currently how is hostwinds now? I have been searching on these forums and have seen a lot of people say good things about hostwinds in other older posts, but all the post on this page is all negative. So what's the deal, was there some problem, but it's ok now or was hostwinds good in the past, but not now? Trying to choose at this point between this and StableHost.
