Hi evangelist, yes! To test for SOCKS5 proxies, open Proxy Multiply and click 'Configure' on the main window. Select 'SOCKS Proxy Testing' in the Configure window. Then, check the box that enables SOCKS5 testing.

Thanks eclap; just to clarify usage parameters, to use proxies in your browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, etc) select a proxy from the list and click the button in the upper right hand corner of Proxy Multiply labeled "Use as Proxy in Browser."

Hi fantani, thank you for your interest in Proxy Multiply! Be sure to enable the option 'Automatically delete dead proxies found during testing' in the Configure -> General menu for that to occur, but I believe the option is enabled by default. It will also delete any proxies that aren't alive according to your search criteria - so if you filter for Anonymous proxies only, any non-anonymous (or flat out dead) proxies will be deleted.

how to force this software to save list of found proxy every X minutes? auto-mation doesn't fix my problem
it's nonsense if auto-mation does it only when soft is idle... i am scraping and testing 500k with 100 threads and it lasts hours - in this way auto-mation will never run cause in this time it will ffind enough proxies to meet threeshold and not run auto-mation :/ thannks to it i have on list proxies last tested hours ago :/

Hey ragnar, if you are scraping 500k I would strongly suggest limiting the proxy list size to 50k or less using the Configure->General menu. Chances are most of those proxies are dead. You want to get some proxies that work quickly, then rely on Proxy Multiply's intuitive search engine scraping to further your initial list from the 50k. I think your results will improve after limiting the list size. In regards to having to let the software sit idle before using automation, enable the option "Begin running automatically when Proxy Multiply opens" under Configure->Automation for instant automation.

If it is exporting proxies to file, then automation is setup and working properly! If you want it to take less than 30 minutes, then you can either increase the number of threads to test proxies faster (Configure -> General) IF your connection can support it, or further limit the proxy list size. Limiting the proxy list size further will reduce your number of working proxies. The other solution is to just open the program ahead of the time that you need it; or perhaps just keep it running (and increase the automation delay if bandwidth is a concern) so your proxies are ready when you need them!

Hey bigdaddy, correct, there are no settings to configure. Description of the Search Booster Add-On, from Proxy Multiply:

Proxy Multiply specializes in finding proxies from search engines. With the Search Booster Add-On, you will be finding fresh, working proxies from three additional search engines, adding a potential of 50+ new pages to crawl per proxy (on average)!


More pages crawled means MORE proxies! With some proxies producing 10 pages of results in these new search engines, your proxy count is sure to rise.

more frustrating thing is that while using PM, Captcha Sniper X4 tends to freeze - I shut down PM for 2 days and CS is working fine

Hi ragnar, thank you for taking the time to evaluate Proxy Multiply! Unfortunately your report is the first that mentions any sort of interference with Captcha Sniper. Have you experienced this issue on any other machine or just the one you tested on?

It sounds like you had troubles configuring the software to your needs. How could we have facilitated your configuration better? What would have made the software easier to use or configure?

Proxies used in the browser, as opposed to used in a program like Scrapebox, typically need to be tested 2-3 times to eliminate "weak" proxies. So, test your proxy list; once you have 20 or so working proxies, test the list again, and then you should have a list of proxies stable enough for use in your browser.
