I just found that by turning off my antivirus, PM would work just like before the update.
I was having the issue with Avira, but now I installed AVG and it is working fine.
Could be a coincidence but is worth checking out.

Yeah I dropped my threads down to 40 and it is still happening. When I say responding slowly like I click a proxy to select it and it takes 5 minutes for the selection bar to come up. This is on an AMD Phenom II Quad Core 3.0 Ghz box with 16 gig of ram so it isn't really a slow machine.

Just a heads up, 40 is not really that conservative of a number. Thread count is more dependent on bandwidth abilities (internet speed) than it is processor/RAM specs, since the threads are all performing network-intensive operations. The change in thread count won't make a difference if you already have threads loaded, testing proxies - try setting to 40 and restart PM, then start testing/scraping. Are you still experiencing the behavior? Have you tried disabling your Anti-Virus as suggested by Tatsuya?

Interesting, can't say much with regards to that as the test workstation uses Norton, but it will be investigated. Thank you. :)

My internet speed is 50meg download / 5meg upload so I should be able to use WAY more than 40. And yes I know you have to restart. :)

Good call by Tatsuya, disabling my anti-virus (which is currently Avast) took things back to normal again. Seems odd since PM was granted full rights upon initial use and was working fine before this newest version.

Just glad to have it usable again! Thank you both.

Glad to hear! I wonder what Avast is doing to Proxy Multiply that is choking it up... ? :(

JRim, Proxy Multiply will not even open right now because your site ( http://proxy.jrimsoftware.com/ ) is down. You should really fix this issue so that it if your site goes down in the future that the software will still work. Maybe a backup site or two that it checks for updates on if the first site isn't loading.

yeah, the site is down unfortunately and my PM doesn't work either.. :(

Yes, as you have all realized, a DNS change (forced by host...) that was supposed to be complete by now, is in fact not complete. It is under investigation now. We did work with our host to put the event into off-peak hours but issues persist unfortunately.

Ok, just finished speaking with our host and with the domain registrar, the issue is that DNS settings can take up to 24-48 hours to completely update - so unfortunately, we're just playing the waiting game guys. I am very sorry for the inconvenience. :(

Hi kicka, it is not feasible to set up a back up site due to the heavy load experienced by the proxy judge. We work in close conjunction with our host to ensure that downtime is as minimal as possible, and the small amount experienced is nearly unavoidable. We are working now to restore service, but as stated above, the DNS issue will take time to resolve (pun intended :D).

Does it have inbuilt IP range scanner ?

No it does not Deus.

Here's hoping for Resolution Sooner Rather than later :)
Product has been working great up until now..

JRIM, if I were you I'd check that it is only the DNS that's a problem - although DNS can take 24-48 hours to update, it rarely does, and it's generally considerably shorter than that. There may be another problem.

When you set another url to test (other proxy judge) does it check your proxy judges also or just the url you specify?

I think you've got more than a DNS update problem:

ns1.the-proxy-list.com [216.244.72.162]
ns2.the-proxy-list.com [216.244.72.163]
Query for DNS records for jrimsoftware.com failed: Timed out

Your DNS servers aren't returning any records ...

yeah, it seems the dns server is problemable

The software is not working due to your website being down, please fix it as soon as possible.

bought the program but never get suport help, now I can not access my program after my email got hacked and can not access my email.... sent several suport tickets but never get answer...

How long is PM going to be down? its been a while, I've been trying to be patient but this is becoming a problem now.

Hello everyone. Please understand that this is a catastrophic headache for you just as much as it is for us. We offer hosting for many clients, and Proxy Multiply is not the only software that we sell - everything is on hold currently.

To clarify some points mentioned above:

* 216.244.*.* is the OLD server. Our new IP is 192.169.68.74 and .75, along with several other IPs as we lease a range for our dedicated server. You see 216.244.*.* when you ping it, but it is actually the OLD one. DNS changes are still propagating unfortunately. If I ping the servers from my IP, I just receive host not found. Again, another illustration of the fact that DNS changes take time to propagate is the fact that we have different results.
* We have been in very close contact with our host and registrar. The only thing holding up the "change" to the new IP range is propagation of the DNS server. Everything has been verified to be configured correctly.

* Livedatingtube: If you requested support within the last 24 hours, our website and support services have been unavailable. Your concerns will be addressed as soon as the DNS propagates.
* Kickapooh: Yes, 24 hours. We want this to be fixed as badly as you all do, but unfortunately it just takes time for DNS records to update.

Your patience and cooperation in resolving this are sincerely appreciated.

it's only a day, proxy multiply guys seem on top of it, and it really is just a registrar issue now, haven't you guys had times when that one weird domain just wouldn't update for 2 days? proxy goblin guys didn't get their stuff together for 1 week, at the end of last year, not bashing them just comparing since i went to proxy multiply when proxy goblin went down. (and now just use proxy multiply) but since i have both i'm just substituting with goblin for now.
