Could you PM any VPS recomendations ? thanks

I'm sorry luis but I cannot make any recommendations personally, perhaps a community member here can chime in regarding Proxy Multiply friendly VPS servers?

Just my two cents regard GUI :

- if you have non-standard font settings (dpi or large) in Win there will be problems with font rendering
- if you have screen resolution 800x600 you dont see two buttons on menu bar ( help and addons). That will not be a problem if you can scroll GUI (or move) but right now you dont even suspect that two buttons are missing because GUI looks complete. Missing buttons are rendered (or dropped from toolbar) dynamicly if ther is any space left on the toolbar. I look at help button ( mentioned in maual) but it wasent there. When i installed second copy on my second computer i see both additonal buttons :)

Hey 1qay, thanks for the feedback! We have noted that users with larger fonts end up having some information "cut off", and it is a problem we would like to address in a future release. However, it is not on the immediate "to-do" list as most users utilize stock font settings.

With regards to the 800x600 comment, there does need to be an indicator of some sort notifying users that part of the display is being hidden. Good catch! :)

i do not believe my proxy booster url manager add on is working, i examine the urls and i only get 54 urls and they all say 0 urls, is this an issue?

Jrim!
I love this program, running the demo right now. Buying it shortly!

Hmm, in order for the booster to track proxies from URLs, you have to test proxies scraped from URLs. Try clearing your proxy list if necessary (right click in the list, select Clear All Proxies), then click Get Proxies and allow it to test. Let me know if this resolves your issue!

Thank you for your support, david! :)

that seemed to kick it into gear, will the urls increase as it searches and finds more positive values? i guess the database then adds it to the configuration - fetch proxy, area?

Hi Lanx, yes the database will automatically track URLs as it finds new ones and finds new working proxies. :) That's mainly the entire functionality of the Add-On, as it facilitates and improves your proxy finding ability.

Thanks for the positive reviews guys, and enjoy, 1.0.0.70 is out with big changes! As follows:

1.0.0.70
-------
- Numerous optimizations.
- Improved 'Export' window to be more feature packed.
- The Configure window is now resizable, making it easier to select countries in the country list.
- Fixed a memory leak. Proxy Multiply should be able to operate indefinitely without problems now.
- Resolved bugs involving collection modification during enumeration.
And one undocumented change (will be posted in the next update): duplicate IPs with different ports (e.g. 8.8.8.8:80, 8.8.8.8:81) will no longer be permitted.

Hi Jrim, regarding the last update I feel it more "heavy" on my system. Now I can only run 35 threads instead of 100. Is this normal due to the optimizations added? Thanks

Hmm, where do you see the difference? Processor usage, memory usage? Is it just during proxy testing, or just during proxy scraping? Try loading up a list of proxies and testing it, monitor the resource usage, then stop testing and start scraping proxies (click 'Get Proxies!'). Then see if things change to try to independently test the conditions.

The new version actually seems to use less resources to me running on Win7 64 bit with .NET 4.5. Running better than ever actually. Thanks again for implementing the duplicate IP/Port issue!

Actually I am going to have to retract the previous statement. For some reason today it is responding very slowly. I did the test that you suggested, and from a quick glance it looks like it's only happening during scraping. I loaded up a set of proxies and tested them ok, but once I hit Get Proxies after a few minutes it is very slow to respond. For what it's worth I have my url crawling timeout set to 10 seconds.

Let me know if I can try anything else to help.

Hi, I'm too much of a newb to PM you; but it states in the first post that you only accept Paypal. I am estranged from Paypal. (Search "ScrewPayPal" or "Paypal horror stories" for more information) I would really like to try your software out, and there are many different ways to exchange payments and goods or services now, even secure Escrow at 2% commission.
Please let me know if my potential purchase is impossible. Thanks.

new update seems good
i'm about to move vps, i don't see a license button, do i just login from the main account from the website?

One more thing - after pressing Stop the CPU usage stays at 100% even after all the threads have finished. Only thing to do is close the program and reopen.

Hey bigdaddy, thanks for the information! Just to clarify, when you say 'responding slowly', do you mean that the graphics draw slowly and it is slow to scroll through the proxy list? Or what precisely do you mean by responding slowly?

Hey goodgrief, we also accept Avangate (use the purchase link at www.proxymultiply.com ), or I can send you a Google Checkout invoice.

Hey Lanx, just download the software again from www.proxymultiply.com and after installing and executing, click the 'Already Purchased?' button.

Hmm it sounds like the scraping may be utilizing too many resources based on what you wrote earlier, too, but: Try lowering the number of threads you are using in the Configure -> General window to resolve this issue; I am unable to reproduce this problem. Does that resolve the issue?

In the meantime, proxy scraping will be examined and improved upon as necessary to resolve the lingering resources issue. :)

Yeah I dropped my threads down to 40 and it is still happening. When I say responding slowly like I click a proxy to select it and it takes 5 minutes for the selection bar to come up. This is on an AMD Phenom II Quad Core 3.0 Ghz box with 16 gig of ram so it isn't really a slow machine.

That's helpful, thank you! :)
