i have to admit, the software itself is awesome, my only concern is the amount of resources it uses.

i have tried this on my home pc and it uses 99% CPU, and the same on a vps and a dedicated server. Which slows everything down, so you cannot run anything else at the same time without having major problems.

If this could be resolved in some way, i then think it would be a perfect piece of software, because you could then leave it running in the background.

This is interesting... grabbing the 7-day trial for now.

Great, enjoy! :)

Hey dprayer,

I agree with you that 99% CPU usage is ridiculous! I only experience 25-30% CPU usage on my computer. When do you experience the high CPU usage? Is it while scraping proxies or testing them?

Have you tried opening the configuration window and lowering the amount of threads? Perhaps try limiting the proxy list size as well, also under the General tab of the configuration settings. Is the 99% usage consistent even while the program is minimized?

i tried this software a couple of weeks ago but i gave up on it after the loooong wait for it finish and then finally after the list of proxies that were deemed good when checked only minutes later a huge number of them were no longer good... the software didnt live up to the "push one button and presto" marketing for me

If you want it to test faster, increase the thread count.
If you want to test less proxies, don't harvest 100k proxies.
It is push one button and presto - with some thought on the user end ;)
Can't please 'em all, eh? :D

i have tried the trial a few times and was impressed by the quality of the software
I just bought it :-) didnt want to miss the discount

yeah real interesting how you conveniently miss addressing all issues :p

Hmm okay, thanks for the support PT! :) You said the proxies took too long to test - ok, increase the thread count. If you did that, they would test faster. If they tested faster, less would be dead by the time it finished. Issues addressed!

Jrim,

Just bought proxy multiply and registered on site. Still waiting for the confirmation email though. How long will it take to get it activated and will I get a new download link? thanks!

Hey angel,

Thank you for your business! :)

Once you have registered for the site, your transaction is in the database and you're all set! You can activate your license yourself by opening the software and clicking 'Already paid but still seeing this trial message?' on the trial notification window. :)

Your welcome Jrim, not sure if you are deliberately avoiding the issue or if you're honestly missing the point. I'm not trying to needlessly rail on your product either just providing my own personal experiences to all, so my "support" is not to you but to the community at large. I never said that the process of testing the proxies was still in progress when I went back to check if the proxies were dead. I waited until after checking was complete and then again periodically I'd go back to see how many more from the previous set had died, and there were many each subsequent time. As stated it became more of a chore trying to figure out how to properly get the tool to do what was stated as "just push one button presto".

The software seems excellent. However, when exporting good proxies from the program unto Scrapebox, a majority of them seem to fail testing. Is there a reason?

I will purchase this program if it can provide adequate results.

I tried the trial and loved it. It took me several hours to really understand how everything works, but that is true of most all software, however once I got it it is very easy to use.

I went ahead and purchased because the 50% offer ends soon. My only question is can we use the software on 2 computers? I hope so, but I'll wait for your answer.

Zion, I just spoke with another user about this today, here is my response to that:

Considering that the proxies test as ?good? (they are able to perform a Google search in Proxy Multiply) but not in S/Box, I examined the response traffic on the Scrapebox Google queries. Scrapebox is the issue here; its google queries are ?flagging? the proxies and producing a page that looks like this: http://www.google.com/sorry/?continue=http://www.google.com/search?&q=test

I feel that this is due more to a flaw in S/Box than anything and due to how it creates the requests to search. It could be that the Google search in Scrapebox only exists of ?www.google.com/search?q=test?. Go to google.com and search for test in your browser ? there are a lot of other variables added to the URL, right? If only ?q=test is present, Google may be flagging that as robotic. Proxy Multiply does a full URL request that looks like something a browser could actually generate.

Hi, thank you for your purchase! Yes, you are licensed for two computers with your purchase. :) Just use the button on both computers in the software that says 'Already purchased but still seeing this trial message?'. Your hardware fingerprint will then be associated with your purchase.

I loved the trial and so purchased it. It is a helpfull tool :clap2:

Hi

not too sure if anyone else is getting the same error message?

i keep now getting an error about no more proxies to scrape (or something similar) after the 1st test has been run.

Happening on VPS and Home PC now.

Any ideas on a fix for this, or what it could be?

Thanks

Hey dprayer, it looks like the search engine that we use for PM's unique search method is temporarily down (HTTP 503 error). It should be back up soon. If it isn't back up by the end of the day, a new search engine will be coded in. :)

i changed the proxy judge but my proxy judge is crap and i forget the default PM judge, can you please PM me the proxy judge or post here... YOU KNOW ME ON WF :D

Haha no problem :)
Code:

Also, here is a great website with a large list of proxy judges. Proxy Multiply uses 'AZ Environment 1.04' judges:
Code:

ok, no problem:)

Yeah, it is certainly a long period of downtime. We will get it figured out either way, sorry for the inconvenience! :)

EDIT: 3:04 PM EST, search function is working again. This is the first time I have seen the search engine go down in months; if there are more errors in the future, PM will switch to a new search engine.

Hi again Jrim! PM still rocks! :)
Hope you can add something like blacklist/negative proxy urls on the settings.
Thanks!
